Para Paul van Dyk el 29 de Agosto de 2016 fue un momento de quiebre en muchos sentidos. Como hoy, justo nos recordó a través de una publicación en todas sus redes sociales.

Today I’m especially grateful to still be alive as I reflect on human decency, character & justice.
As you may remember, on the 29.02.2016 I almost lost my life while performing at Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance Utrecht festival, organized by his business associates at ALDA which was managed by Alan Hardenberg & David Lewis.
Since then, it was legally established that their disregard for basic safety standards in stage building & event safety led to my fall & therefore left me with multiple broken bones including my spine, traumatic brain injury & health problems for the rest of my life.
How can you cover an unmarked hole in the stage construction with fabric? How can there be an unmarked hole to begin with? Greed? Saving money at the cost of safety?
The legal responsibility is very clear; ALDA has been held accountable, but even after 8 years, they have never acknowledged any responsibility, not given a simple apology & have not paid any of the court-ordered compensation to cover the economic damages they caused, as ordered by the highest court in the Netherlands.
To the contrary, ALDA even tried to block the insurance to pay for my medical bills & that says everything about their character & decency.
On the positive side I learned a lot about survival and how to approach the everyday struggle caused by the severe injuries and the life-long impact on my health, to deal with it with positivity regardless of the continuing pain.
During the months I was in hospitals, everyone did their utmost to bring me back, I was treated with dignity, respect & care & for that I will be forever grateful.
All your support & well wishes encouraged me to stand up & walk again, it motivated me to an extent you will never understand & for that I will be forever grateful.
I discovered that love is the greatest power that exists & for the endless love and strength I was given by my wife Margarita, I will be forever grateful.
But nobody & nothing can give me back my health or make up for what my family & friends had to go through.
Even though they continue to hide from their responsibility I know for certain that justice will succeed in the end

Hola a todos: 

Hoy estoy especialmente agradecido de seguir vivo mientras reflexiono sobre la decencia, el carácter y la justicia humanos.
Como recordarán, el 29 de febrero de 2016 casi pierdo la vida mientras actuaba en el festival A State of Trance de Utrecht de Armin van Buuren, organizado por sus socios comerciales en ALDA, dirigido por Alan Hardenberg y David Lewis.

Desde entonces, se estableció legalmente  su ignorancia de los estándares básicos de seguridad en la construcción de escenarios y la seguridad de eventos provocó mi caída y, me dejó con múltiples huesos rotos, incluida la columna, lesión cerebral traumática y problemas de salud por el resto de mi vida.

¿Cómo se puede cubrir un agujero sin marcar en la construcción del escenario con tela? ¿Cómo puede haber un agujero sin marcar para empezar? ¿Codicia? ¿Ahorrar dinero a costa de la seguridad?
La responsabilidad legal es muy clara; ALDA ha sido responsabilizada, pero incluso después de 8 años, nunca han reconocido responsabilidad alguna, no han dado una simple disculpa y no han pagado ninguna de las indemnizaciones ordenadas judicialmente para cubrir los daños económicos que causaron, según lo ordenado por el máximo tribunal de los Países Bajos.

Por el contrario, ALDA incluso intentó bloquear el seguro para pagar mis facturas médicas y eso lo dice todo sobre su carácter y decencia.
En el lado positivo, aprendí mucho sobre la supervivencia y cómo abordar la lucha diaria causada por las lesiones graves y el impacto de por vida en mi salud, para afrontarla con positividad independientemente del dolor continuo.
Durante los meses que estuve en los hospitales, todos hicieron todo lo posible para traerme de regreso, me trataron con dignidad, respeto y cuidado, y por eso estaré eternamente agradecido.

Todo su apoyo y buenos deseos me animaron a levantarme y caminar de nuevo, me motivó hasta un punto que nunca entenderán y por eso estaré eternamente agradecido.

Descubrí que el amor es el poder más grande que existe y por el amor y la fuerza infinitos que me dio mi esposa Margarita, estaré eternamente agradecido.

Pero nada ni nadie puede devolverme mi salud o compensar lo que tuvieron que pasar mis familiares y amigos.
Aunque sigan escondiéndose de su responsabilidad, sé con certeza que al final la justicia triunfará.

Este es justo el momento en el qué PVD, cae durante el ASOT 750 en Holanda.

Y al respecto durante todos estos años esta es la única declaración que ha dado Armin van Buuren desde entonces.

Sumamente fría la respuesta, pero bueno, holandeses al fin. Lo grave, de comprobarse lo dicho por Paul, es que el equipo de Armin no se haya hecho cargo de las cuentas de hospital y recuperación de PVD, aún con orden judicial en Holanda. Pero bueno, a pesar de todo, tenemos PVD para rato, con la energía suficiente para seguir de tour y pelear con justa y aparente razón.
